New cookie module

Last year (30/12/2019) Jubel.be, as first website in Belgium, got a penalty of €15.000 from our national data protection authority. As a result we received a lot of concerns from SiteManager users. They wanted to find out whether the existing cookie banner is compliant with the European privacy policy. To be honest, it's not: the current setup only informs the user but doesn't disable the cookies when requested. 

As we want to live our values "grow together" - our product team decided to switch priorities and rebuild a new cookie module from scratch that would match the GDPR legislation. By building one module, we can offer our agencies an opportunity to improve the legal compliance of more than 1500 websites in Belgium! 

We released our module in Beta on "European Privacy Day" and today we are happy to share it with all of you. As cookies are text-based files that use scripts te send data, we decided to put our cookie management module in the SiteManager Code application. Of course it's still possible to style the cookie modal in SiteManager Design application. 

The entire module is documented in our knowledge base, please read the articles carefully. If there are agencies that need more assistance, SiteManager is there to support your team. Please notice that this kind of work needs to be discussed and scheduled upfront.
